Dicipta pada awal tahun 2011, zine ini dilahirkan bukan
sahaja atas dasar keseronokan, kepuasan hati, hiburan, atau mengisi masa
lapang para penulis, tetapi juga mempunyai
misi yang jitu; yakni memartabatkan bidang penulisan dan amalan membaca
dalam kalangan remaja urban. Zine yang asalnya hanyalah
projek kecil 6 daripada 19 orang bekas pelajar Diploma Teknologi Kreatif (Penulisan Artistik) UiTM yang hampir terkubur kini
menjadi satu platform yang menjadi testimoni terhadap apa yang
dipelajari oleh mereka sepanjang bergelar pelajar di program tersebut selain daripada ingin menunjukkan bakat penulisan kreatif mereka yang sangat hebat.
Asal-usul nama zine ini datang daripada
perkataan slanga yang sering diungkapkan oleh golongan pondan tempatan di akhir
perbualan mereka (contoh: "Biasalah tu, nokss!") Ini
bermakna, setiap penulisan di dalamnya tidak perlu dipandang
terlalu serius biarpun sebahagian karya yang terkandung mengkritik
dunia dan masyarakatnya dengan kejam sekali. Di dalam zine
ini telah tercipta hasil penulisan yang lahir daripada
perasaan, imaginasi, pemerhatian, dan pengalaman setiap penulis. Karya-karya
tersebut terdiri daripada cerita benar dan separa benar yang membincangkan tentang perihal
manusia dan alam sekeliling dalam bentuk cerkas, puisi, kuotasi, dan lontaran kata.
Created in early 2011, the zine's existence are not only
for fun, maximum satisfaction, entertainment, or a mere hobby. It also has a grave mission to
uphold; to take up the writing industry to the next level and instill the love for
reading into the hearts of today's urban youth. The zine's humble
beginnings as a small, almost abandoned project by 6 of 19
ex-students of UiTM's Diploma in Creative Technology (Artistic Writing) programme have now expanded into a
platform that more or less serves as a testimony over what
they have learned throughout their studies there; apart from showcasing their mad creative writing skills.
The zine's name is derived from a slang word that is usually used at the end of local faggots' conversation (e.g.: "Biasalah tu, nokss!") which
means that the writings in the zine are not meant to be taken too
seriously, even when some of the works are criticising the world and its
society very harshly. The works in the zine contains various true and almost-true retelling of humanity and its surroundings in the form of short stories, poetry, quotations, and pieces of mind that are based on the writers' own feelings, imaginations, observations and
experiences.
